There are two things that make us different. One is that we're willing to help with deals of any size, including small "HR" acquisitions. The other is that we're focused on helping founders over the long term. So for example if we think it would be a mistake for you to sell your company now, we'll tell you. We're happy to forego fees from deals that could have happened, but shouldn't, because it will help us build trust with founders and investors.
It can be very distracting to be approached by an acquirer. It can take up all your attention for months, and in the meantime you stop doing the main thing you should be doing in a startup: growing your company. In the worst case this can stall a startup, or even kill it.
We can protect you from most of this kind of distraction. If you bring a deal to us, we can quickly determine how serious the potential acquirer is and how much they're likely to pay. Once we know the seriousness of the offer, we can help you decide if you want to take it. If you do, we can smooth the path to closing. And in the meantime you can stay focused on your company.
